Course Overview
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to provide waxing services to remove unwanted facial and body hair.
It requires the ability to consult with clients to select suitable wax products to provide waxing services. The waxing service can be a single service or form part of a series of services.
This unit applies to beauticians and beauty therapists who work in beauty or hair removal salons.
Providing waxing services is a very popular short course and provides the skills to perform waxing safely on clients family and friends..
What you will learn
You will learn how to apply knowledge of client characteristics and hair biology to develop a waxing treatment plan. You will learn how to prepare and maintain a safe service area, apply different wax formulations and provide advice on adverse effects.
Unit contents:
- Establish client priorities
- Prepare for waxing service
- Apply wax to waxing area
- Review waxing service and provide post service advice
- Clean service area.

Duration and Delivery
■ Delivery will mainly be face to face:
Theory (Classroom)
Practical (Work Based)
■ 5 days or 35 hours (9am-4pm)- 2 days per week.

SHBBHRS002 Provide Female Intimate Waxing Services: $600-
Combined two units: $1150
Payment Terms and Conditions
Students should pay the Unit Cost on the date of enrolment or prior, but not after the class commence.
